How Coaching Works
Coaching is an excellent option for aspiring career changers as it is a collaborative process that empowers the client to create positive change in their life. Clients are held accountable for achieving measurable, realistic, and time-bound goals in a confidential and non- judgmental environment through processes that are scientifically proven to inspire and motivate.
No two brains are alike. The pre-frontal cortex only makes up 4% of the brain yet it is responsible for decision-making, complex planning, logical and organized thinking and personality development. Recent scientific studies prove that the pre-frontal cortex does not reach full maturity until its mid-20’s, yet we are expected to decide what we want to do with our lives end of high school/beginning of college. It’s no wonder that so many people wake up in their mid 30’s, 40’s, even 50’s feeling lost, unhappy, and unfulfilled by their career choice.
The coaching process focuses on forward thinking where therapy focuses on the past and problems and a mentor gives advice based on personal experience. In coaching, the client is in control of the process and already possesses all of the answers within themselves. The coach uses powerful questioning and focus to help the client achieve clarity and insight to help them accomplish their goals and reach their full potential.
